City notices in 2025 and 2026 call Team Waste "the City's third-party collection contractor." It took over Waste Pro's Area E routes on April 12, 2021, according to local news reports. Residents in its area call 311 or 901-636-6500 for service. The city's pages don't say whether Team Waste also collects recycling and yard waste in Area E, though holiday notices say excess trash and yard waste are limited for Team Waste customers too.

Memphis trash pickup holiday schedule

Memphis hasn’t posted a holiday schedule for the rest of 2026; no 2027 schedule was found.

Memphis posts a notice about a week before each holiday instead of one yearly schedule (the Thanksgiving 2025 notice went up Nov 18, 2025). 2026 notices have been posted through Labor Day (Sept 7), but not yet for Veterans Day, Thanksgiving or Christmas, and there's nothing for 2027. There's no rule that holds every year. In 2025, the City posted Veterans Day changes, and for Thanksgiving City crews didn't collect Thursday or Friday (Tuesday and Wednesday routes were collected Tuesday, Thursday and Friday routes Wednesday), while Team Waste moved Thursday to Friday and Friday to Saturday. So far in 2026, City crews have skipped the holiday and doubled up on an adjacent day; Team Waste has sometimes slid one day (MLK Day Jan 19, Memorial Day, Labor Day) and sometimes run normal service (Presidents' Day, the Apr 6 MLK memorial, Juneteenth, July 3). Excess trash and yard waste are limited in holiday weeks.

No dates to list yet. Check Memphis’s page before each holiday week.
