Gray bin is trash, blue bin is recycling. For bulky items and brush, call ESD at (915) 212-6000 (Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.) to book a fee-based special pickup: $35 for up to 5 cubic yards plus $7 for each extra cubic yard, plus tax, billed to your El Paso Water account. Accepted items include 'Brush, tree trunks, branches, and other green waste.' Put items at the curb by 6 a.m. on the scheduled day, at least 5 ft from carts, mailboxes and fences. The city doesn't list a regular curbside brush or yard-waste route. Drop-off: five Citizen Collection Stations (Central, 2492 Harrison; Eastside, 3510 Confederate; Mission Valley, 1034 Pendale; Northeast, 4501 Hondo Pass; Westside, 121 Atlantic) and the Greater El Paso Landfill (2600 Darrington). Other fees: extra lift $10, go-back $15, container delivery $25, burnt or damaged cart $58. Seniors 65 and older and residents with disabilities can qualify for a fee discount or side-door collection.

Not covered

The city's pages don't give a curbside exclusion rule (for example, an apartment unit cutoff). ESD special pickups and Citizen Collection Stations are for El Paso residents only, not commercial businesses or contractors, and commercial or industrial material isn't accepted.

Recycling: every other week. The city's recycling page says: 'Recyclables are collected every other week, on your regular garbage collection day.' Put the blue bin next to the gray bin, both facing the right way, with 5 feet of clearance from other objects. Every-other-week recycling started March 31, 2020, according to KFOX.

Carts out: The city doesn't publish a set-out time for regular gray and blue carts. ESD's Special Collections page says bins 'must be placed on curb', 3 ft apart and 5 ft from other objects, facing the street with lids closed, and that go-back bins are collected 'no later than 5pm on the decided go-back date'. Bulky special-pickup items go out by 6 a.m. Call (915) 212-6000 if a bin hasn't been collected by 3 p.m. on collection day. Source

The 6 a.m. rule applies only to bulky special pickups, not regular carts. No take-in time is published for regular carts.
