Garbage goes in a 96-gallon City-issued roll cart, and residents must keep carts clean and odor-free. Recycling is weekly, on the same day as garbage. Yard trimmings go in paper bags or labeled containers, up to 20 bags per collection. Bulk pickup is available up to 12 times a year, on the regular weekly collection day since Feb 16, 2026; keep carts at least 6 feet from bulk items. If you're not serviced by 8 p.m., report it to 311. Backyard service is available for qualifying residents 70 and older. A 2026 rate study proposes raising the annual fee from $559 to $619 (FY2027) and $685 (FY2028); this isn't final.
