Jobber vs Clean Bin System for bin cleaning: an honest comparison
Is Jobber right for a bin cleaning business? An honest 2026 comparison of prices, trash-day scheduling, failed cards and switching.
I built Clean Bin System, so weigh this with that in mind. Jobber is good software, a lot of service businesses run on it, and some big bin cleaning companies do too. This page answers a narrower question: is it the best fit if you clean bins?
Jobber’s prices and features below come from its pricing page and its help center, checked October 28, 2026. Ours come from our pricing page.
The short version
- Pick Jobber if bin cleaning is one of several services you sell, or you want one tool for quotes, jobs and invoices across trades.
- Pick Clean Bin System if you only clean bins and want the schedule built around trash day, with holiday weeks and failed cards handled for you.
- Already on Jobber and happy? Stay. Switch when holiday weeks, missed card payments or juggling trash days start costing you hours.
Price, side by side
Both price by the month and by the size of your team. These are plan prices with no commitment, and card processing comes on top of both. We compare Jobber’s Connect plan because it’s the first one that lists automatic payments and route optimization.
| Your team | Jobber | Clean Bin System |
|---|---|---|
| Just you on routes | Connect, 1 user: $139 a month | Starter: $89 a month |
| You plus one technician | Connect, up to 5 users: $199 a month | Starter: $89 a month (the owner never takes the technician spot) |
| You plus up to four technicians | Connect, up to 5 users: $199 a month | Growth: $179 a month |
| Bigger teams | Connect: $299 for 10 users, $399 for 15 | Pro: $329 a month, any number of technicians |
| Free trial | 14 days on Grow, no card | 30 days, card required, nothing charged until it ends |
| Paying for a year | Less with a 1-year commitment or a prepaid year | Monthly only |
Four things to notice.
For a small team, our plans cost less. Starter is $50 a month less than Connect for one user, which is $600 a year. Growth is $20 a month less than Connect for up to five users. Jobber also sells extra users at $29 a month each, so two users may come to $168.
Jobber costs less if you commit for a year. With a 1-year commitment, Connect for up to five users is $169 a month, and paid a year ahead it’s $149. Both are under our Growth plan. For one user it’s $119 or $99 a month, still more than Starter. We only bill monthly.
Jobber has a discount for bin cleaners. Its page for trash can cleaners offers one through The Trash Can Cleaners. The page says 15% for life in one place and 20% in another, so ask which applies before you do the math.
Some Jobber features are add-ons. Its AI receptionist is $29 a month and its marketing suite is $99. Every Clean Bin System plan has every feature.
Prices change, so check both sites before you decide.
Where Jobber genuinely wins
Scale. Jobber says more than 100,000 businesses use it. More trades and more odd cases have tested it than have tested us.
One tool for every service. If you also pressure wash, clean windows or treat lawns, Jobber quotes, schedules and invoices all of it. Clean Bin System only does bins.
A trial with no card. Jobber gives you 14 days on its Grow plan without a card. Ours asks for a card up front, though nothing is charged until the trial ends.
Route optimization across a team. On Connect and up, it can reorder a whole team’s visits for up to 7 days at once, for visits set to “anytime” (Jobber’s help article).
Yearly pricing, as above.
Where Clean Bin System wins
Trash day is the schedule. Each home’s cleaning lands on its trash day, in a repeating four-week cycle for each zone, so neighbors share a route and new sign-ups land on the right day. The Jobber pages we checked don’t mention trash days.
Holiday weeks move with the trash truck. Give each zone its hauler and enter the hauler’s holiday dates. Every cleaning from the holiday to the end of that week moves later, and those customers are told by text or email. We also keep trash pickup holiday schedules for the 50 biggest US cities. The Jobber pages we checked don’t mention hauler holidays.
Failed cards get retried. Jobber’s help article on automatic payments says they “are only attempted once,” with an email to you when one fails. By default we retry a failed card 1, 2, 4, 7, 10, 15 and 20 days after it fails, then monthly, and text the customer a link to update their card.
Built around bins. Plans with a price for each extra bin, bin counts and trash days for garbage, recycling and yard waste, gate codes and access notes for the technician, and customers who skip, pause or change bins themselves.
Your cards stay in your own Stripe account. Customers pay through a Stripe account you own, so their saved cards stay with you if you ever change software.
A lower monthly price for small teams, as above.

What I won’t do is invent weaknesses for Jobber. Where a row says “not on the pages we checked,” that’s exactly what it means: test it yourself in Jobber’s trial.
Switching from Jobber
Export your clients from Jobber as a CSV, add each customer’s plan, bins and trash day, and import it. One of the first businesses on Clean Bin System moved 85 customers from Jobber this way.
Saved cards depend on your processor. If they can be transferred to your Stripe account, have that done first and match each customer to their Stripe customer ID before you import, and the cards come over. Otherwise, each customer gets a link to add a card. The full steps are in how to switch from Jobber.
FAQ
Is Jobber good for a bin cleaning business?
Yes, if bin cleaning is one of several services or you want one tool across trades. The Jobber pages we checked don’t mention trash days or hauler holidays, so you’d manage those yourself.
Is Clean Bin System cheaper than Jobber?
On monthly plan prices for small teams, yes: $89 against $139 for one Jobber Connect user, and $179 against $199 for up to five. If you commit to Jobber for a year, its 5-user Connect plan costs less than our Growth plan. Card processing comes on top of both, and our pricing page lists every fee.
Can I bring my customers and saved cards from Jobber?
Your customers, yes: export them from Jobber as a CSV and import them. Saved cards depend on your processor. If they can be transferred to your Stripe account, do that first and match each customer to their Stripe customer ID in your sheet. Otherwise, each customer gets a link to add a card.
Do I need a card for the free trial?
Yes. You add a card to start, nothing is charged for 30 days, and you can cancel before then. Jobber’s 14-day trial doesn’t ask for a card.
Bottom line: Jobber is excellent general field-service software. If you only clean bins, Clean Bin System is built around what Jobber leaves to you: trash day, holiday weeks and failed cards. Start your free trial or read how to switch from Jobber.
