Jobatory vs Clean Bin System: an honest comparison

Looking for a Jobatory alternative? An honest 2026 comparison of prices, what each plan includes and who should switch, from the founder of Clean Bin System.

I built Clean Bin System, so read this with the grain of salt it deserves. I obviously want you as a customer.

But a comparison that pretends the competitor has nothing going for it is useless to you. You’d see through it in ten seconds and trust me less. So here’s where Jobatory genuinely wins, where we win, and who should pick which. Then you decide.

Jobatory’s prices and plan details below come from its pricing page and home page, checked October 18, 2026. Ours come from our pricing page.

The short version

Jobatory is the established incumbent. It says more than 300 companies use it as their CRM, and it was built by bin cleaners for bin cleaners. That track record counts for something real.

Clean Bin System is newer, built in 2026, and also built only for bin cleaning. It costs less on every plan if you pay monthly, each plan includes more technicians and more texts, and you can try it free for 1 day before you pay anything.

If you want the safest, most proven pick, choose Jobatory. If you want the cheaper pick that you can test on your own routes first, choose us.

Price, side by side

Jobatory Clean Bin System
Entry plan Kickstart: $119 a month, 1 truck, 250 texts Starter: $89 a month, 1 technician, 500 texts
Middle plan Accelerate: $199 a month, 1 truck, 1,000 texts Growth: $179 a month, up to 4 technicians, 2,000 texts
Top plan Supercharge: $349 a month, 3 trucks, 2,000 texts Pro: $329 a month, any number of technicians, 5,000 texts
Another truck $85 a month each Move up a plan
Texts past the plan 4¢ each 5¢, 3¢ or 2¢ each, depending on the plan
Paying yearly 20% off Monthly only
Free trial None listed 1 day, nothing charged until it ends
Contract None (“no yearly lock-ins”) None, month to month

Four things to notice.

On monthly billing, we cost less on every plan: $30 a month less at the entry level, which is $360 a year, $20 less on the middle plan and $20 less on the top plan.

Each plan includes more. Growth runs up to 4 technicians with 2,000 texts for $179. Accelerate includes 1 truck and 1,000 texts for $199, and a second truck is another $85, so running two trucks on Accelerate costs $284 a month.

Jobatory is cheaper on its bigger plans if you pay a year up front. Its yearly billing takes 20% off, which works out to about $159 a month for Accelerate and $279 for Supercharge, under our Growth and Pro. Kickstart paid yearly is about $95 a month, still more than our Starter. We don’t offer yearly billing. If you’re sure you’re staying put for a year, do that math.

Jobatory’s entry price is tied to your customer count. Its home page says the Kickstart rate “stays locked at $119 a month until you land your first 100 customers.” Our plans don’t change with how many customers you have. They differ only by how many technicians run routes and how many texts are included.

Prices change, so check both sites before you decide.

Where Jobatory genuinely wins

Track record. More than 300 companies, by its own count, and years of bin cleaners stress-testing it in ways a 2026 platform is still catching up on. If “nobody ever got fired for buying IBM” matters to you, that’s a real argument.

It has seen your weird situation before. Odd billing setups, strange route patterns, big multi-truck operations: an incumbent has run into more of them. We handle the standard stuff well. The truly unusual edge cases are where years in the field show.

Paying yearly. Pay for a year up front and Jobatory’s 20% discount makes its middle and top plans cheaper than ours.

Help getting onto it. Jobatory’s EasyMigrate brings your data over: free on Accelerate and Supercharge, and a one-time $150 on Kickstart if you have under 100 customers.

I won’t pretend these don’t matter. They do.

Where Clean Bin System wins

Price, if you pay monthly. Less on every plan, as above. If you run two or more trucks the gap gets bigger: Growth covers up to 4 technicians for $179, where Accelerate plus one extra truck is $284.

You can test it on your own routes first. Take 1 day free to set up your zones and prices, import a few customers and look at a real route before you pay. You add a card to start, nothing is charged until the trial ends, and canceling before then costs nothing. Jobatory doesn’t list a free trial.

Moving from Jobatory is built in. Our import reads Jobatory’s customer migration sheet as it comes. Plans, bins, trash days and last cleaning dates carry over, and if you connect the same Stripe account Jobatory charged through, saved cards keep working. Customers don’t re-enter their cards. See how switching works.

Holidays move with the trash truck. Give each zone its hauler and add the hauler’s holidays once. That week’s cleanings move with the pickup, and each customer gets a text. We also keep trash pickup holiday schedules for the 50 biggest US cities.

Your AI assistant can run it. Clean Bin System connects to Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants. Ask about tomorrow’s route, failed cards or new leads in plain words, or make small changes like skipping a cleaning, pausing a plan or leaving a gate code note for the driver, without opening the back office. Anything that touches money or messages customers is shown to you first and waits for your OK. Jobatory’s feature pages don’t list anything like it.

The honest feature picture

Both platforms are built for bin cleaning and cover the fundamentals: online sign-up, service zones drawn on a map, customers grouped by trash day and service week, recurring card billing, failed-payment follow-ups, automated texts, a driver app and route optimization. If someone tells you only one of us can bill a card every month, they’re lying to you.

The differences that matter day to day:

  • Routes. Both schedule around trash day. Jobatory groups customers within a zone by service week, waste hauler and preferred driver, and can auto-optimize each driver’s route. We put each customer in one week of a repeating four-week cycle on their trash day, so neighbors end up on the same route and new sign-ups land on their trash day automatically.
  • Billing. Both take cards through Stripe and chase failed payments. Ours retries failed cards on the days you choose and texts customers a link to update their card.
  • Texts and emails. Both automate the reminders and notices. We have 59 of them, and you can reword every one.
  • What a plan includes. More technicians and texts per dollar here, and a yearly discount there.

What I won’t do is invent weaknesses for Jobatory I can’t verify. What I know is its published pricing, what its own site says it does, and where our design choices differ. Test the rest yourself. That’s what the free trial is for.

Who should switch, and when

Under 100 customers: switching costs are near zero. Export, import, done in an afternoon. If you’re early, pick the platform you want to grow on now. Migrating at 400 customers is a project; migrating at 40 is an afternoon.

100 to 500 customers: this is the migration math zone. Plan a weekend, timed between billing dates. The plan-for-plan savings in the table, plus anything you pay for extra trucks, pay the effort back.

500+ customers or several trucks: talk to us first. We’ll look at your setup (customer count, trucks, billing quirks) and tell you straight whether the switch is worth it. If it’s not, we’ll say so. A bad-fit customer who leaves in month two helps nobody.

Who should stay on Jobatory: if you’re happy, your routes run fine and the price doesn’t bother you, stay. Switching software to save $20 a month when everything works is a bad trade. Switch when something’s actually wrong: the price stings, you’re paying for extra trucks, or the workflows fight how you operate.

What switching actually involves

The fear is downtime and lost customers. Here’s how it actually goes:

  1. Set up your zones and plans first, at the prices your customers pay today, so everyone has somewhere to land.
  2. Connect the same Stripe account Jobatory charged through. That’s what lets saved cards come over.
  3. Export Jobatory’s customer migration sheet.
  4. Import it. We recognize Jobatory’s columns, check every row before anything is saved, skip duplicates and list anything that needs fixing.
  5. Run both side by side for one cycle. Imported customers stay off the calendar here, and nobody is messaged or charged, until you activate them.
  6. Turn off charging in Jobatory, then activate in batches. Each plan picks up from its last cleaning, and each customer gets one welcome message, or a link to add a card if they need one.

No re-signups and no “please enter your card again” emails. The point is that your customers shouldn’t notice. There’s more detail on the Switching page.

FAQ

Is Clean Bin System a good Jobatory alternative?

If you want software built only for bin cleaning that costs less per plan, includes more technicians and texts, and imports your Jobatory customers with their saved cards, yes. If you want the longest track record in the industry, Jobatory is still the safe pick.

Will my customers need to do anything when I switch?

No. They keep their plan, price and cleaning rhythm, as long as your plans match what they pay today. Each gets one welcome message. If you connect the same Stripe account, their saved cards carry over.

Will I lose my customer data?

No. Customers, addresses, gate codes and notes, plans, bins, trash days, last cleaning dates and account credit all come over from Jobatory’s migration sheet. Clean up first: merge duplicates and skip dead accounts. Don’t migrate junk.

How long does migration take?

Under 100 customers, an afternoon. 100 to 500, a weekend. Over 500, plan a week with our help, mostly waiting on exports.

Is there downtime during the switch?

Effectively none. Your routes keep running while both systems run side by side, and the cutover is a back-office change, not a field change.

Can I try Clean Bin System before committing?

Yes, free for 1 day. You add a card to start, nothing is charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel from your plan page before then. After that it’s month to month.

Bottom line: Jobatory is the proven incumbent and deserves respect. We’re the newer, cheaper option built only for bin cleaning, and you can test it on your own routes free for 1 day. Start your free trial or see how switching works.
