Under City Code 27-21, the City serves single dwelling units, buildings under 5 units (duplexes, triplexes and fourplexes), townhouses and condos, mobile home parks, and some 5 to 29 unit buildings by option or consent, but no commercial or industrial properties. Trash and recycling are weekly, on the same day, with separate trucks. Green Organics (a tan yard-waste container) is an optional subscription, $10.58 a month per container, in eligible areas only. Bulk trash is by appointment, 4 per household per year.

Not covered

The City doesn't serve commercial or industrial properties or most multifamily buildings of 30 or more units, and generally not buildings of 5 or more units unless grandfathered since 1979 or opted in; these use private haulers. Other Valley cities and unincorporated Maricopa County are outside the City's service.
