Aurora has no city-run or city-contracted residential trash service. City Code Ch. 114 says every home in a residential zone must have trash picked up at least weekly by a city-registered private hauler, and each owner or HOA chooses and pays its own hauler. Pickup days and holiday changes therefore depend on the hauler, and often differ from one HOA or street to the next. Carts may not go out before 5 p.m. the day before pickup and must be brought back within 12 hours after pickup.
